Visiting an Airgun Shop Before or After the Range
Field Sport Ranges is conveniently located close to a number of established airgun shops across Leicestershire and Derbyshire. This makes it easy to combine a visit to the range with a trip to a local gun shop for pellets, targets, accessories or other airgun equipment. If you are buying a new air rifle or changing pellets, our ranges are a great place to spend time getting to know your equipment. With shooting distances available from short-range targets through to 90 yards, you can see how your airgun performs at different distances and practise in a relaxed outdoor environment.
Our 90 Yard Range is particularly useful for zeroing, with paper target holders positioned from 20 to 90 yards at 10-yard intervals. Our 60 Yard and 80 Yard ranges offer plenty of opportunities for plinking and practising at different distances.
Please remember that Field Sport Ranges does not hire equipment for standard range sessions. You will need to bring your own air rifle or air pistol, pellets and any other equipment you require. If you are new to shooting and do not yet have your own equipment, take a look at our Have A Go sessions, where equipment and instruction are included.
New to Airgun Shooting?
If you are thinking about buying your first airgun, visiting a specialist airgun shop can be a good place to start. They can help you explore suitable equipment, pellets and accessories before you visit the range.Once you have your own equipment, you can pre-book a lane at Field Sport Ranges and practise at your own pace. No membership is required, and new visitors complete our Airgun Safety Induction before using the ranges.
