Air rifle, air pistol and archery range hire in the National Forest – bring your own equipment.
Looking for a safe, well-maintained place to shoot your air rifle, air pistol or airsoft gun? Welcome to Field Sport Airgun Range, a purpose-built, self-managed shooting venue located in Newbold, Coleorton, North West Leicestershire.
We offer flexible airgun range hire without the need for club membership. No annual membership fees, no club politics – just quality time on the range.

Most of our ranges are covered and equipped with purpose-built shooting benches and a wide variety of targets suitable for different abilities and shooting disciplines.
• £10 per lane for a 2-hour session. Your session starts promptly at the time booked through our online booking system. Your induction fee is included in your lane fee. • You may share your lane with one additional person, with one gun shared between two people. The additional person will need to complete the induction, which costs £10, plus £3 to accompany you on the lane. • Payment is cash on the day only. We currently do not have card facilities onsite.
• Pre-book your lane through our online booking system. • On your first visit, you will need to watch our safety induction video. Your induction is renewed every April. • Bring your own equipment for standard range hire. Equipment hire is not available. • Don't have your own equipment? Take a look at our Have A Go sessions, where equipment is included. • Arrive for the start of your booked session and sign in before shooting. • Follow all range safety procedures throughout your visit.
If you would like to see the ranges before making a booking, that's not a problem. Please call us on 07973 115769 during our opening hours to arrange a suitable time for a member of staff to show you around.
This is a self-managed shooting range, so all users share responsibility for helping to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Air rifles must be under 12 ft-lbs. • Air pistols must be under 6 ft-lbs. • You must remain on the range you have booked. • Maximum of 2 people per lane, sharing 1 gun. • All new visitors must complete the induction. • All range safety rules and procedures must be followed.
• Free onsite parking • Toilets onsite • 300 BAR air tank filling service with a 24-hour turnaround • Pellets, paper targets and other shooting sundries available to purchase • Hot and cold drinks available at weekends
You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Around 1.5 miles from the range is a service station with McDonald's, Greggs, KFC and Starbucks if you would like to pick something up on your way to us. We simply ask that you take all litter away with you at the end of your visit.
All onsite purchases are currently cash only, as we do not have card facilities.
Airgun Setup & Zeroing – £30 Please contact the office to book your airgun in.
Individual Air Rifle / Air Pistol Training – £40 1 hour 30 minute individual training session. Please contact the office for a quotation for multiple people.
300 BAR Air Tank Refills Tanks must be within their test date. Under 3L £5 4–6L £6 6.5–7L £7.50 8–12L £10
We have a 24-hour turnaround time on air tank refills. A £2 surcharge applies to tanks filled from empty. If you have not completed our induction, an additional £2 charge applies.
